When I grow up..

Oh man. The list of things I wanted to be when I grew up were quite vast. I think it changed every other day.

So first I wanted to be a cartoonist. This somehow stemmed from the fact that I loved to impersonate cartoon characters. My favorite, Thumper from Bambi. I could do a mean Thumper. This in turn made me want to be a cartoonist. Not sure how the two match up. Haha. 

Next, an astronaut. What kid doesn't want to be an astronaut at some point in their life. I think that when the Columbia crashed I decided being an astronaut wasn't for me. 

A zoologist. I loved watching animal planet as a kid. I loved all things about exotic animals. Especially monkeys. I feel like all kids want to do something like this too. 

I wanted to join an all girl band and be the lead singer. Like the spice girls. Yep, I had high ambitions. 

After a family vacation I decided I wanted to be a marine biologist. This is the one I stuck with the longest. All the way until the time I graduated high school I wanted to do this. I still wouldn't mind doing it. Being that I live no where near an ocean could have been the reason this one never came to life. I don't think I could move away for marine biology. Ha. 

I can safely say that I am nothing like my previous ambitions. I'm something way better.. A mom! I feel like sometimes people think that I'm too consumed with being a mom and I need to get a life outside of it. They could possibly be right, but I'm so happy with where I am in life. I feel like making the decision to be a parent should change your lifestyle forever. If you bring someone into the world you should dedicate your time to them. Simple as that. I love my job. I think it's the best job a person could have.
