12. I'm missing..

What do you miss? (a person, a thing, a place, a time of your life...)

I feel like there is no way to not make this post cliche. I think the things that I miss are the things that everyone misses.

For example, I miss the simplicity that life used to have. No Internet. No cell phones. No complications. Technology is a blessing but I feel like we are the most connected than we've ever been but somehow things have become impersonal in way. Don't get me wrong I love blogging with you guys but do you get miss putting pen to paper? I do.

I miss being young and oblivious. As you get older you have to pay attention to the things that are going wrong. Well I try my hardest not to.I don't watch the news. I don't listen to the news on the radio. I'd rather be completely oblivious than to worry all the time. You may think this is stupid but who wants to spend their life worrying! If I did pay attention to these things that is exactly what I'd do. Worry. All. The. Time.

I miss not having to care so much. Just living day by day doing what made me happy. When the hardest decisions I had to make were what colors to color the sky and the house on my color sheet.

I miss the people that had their life taken away from them too early. I know that God has a plan for everyone but its always hard to comprehend why bad things happen to good people.

And most of all I miss my dad. The majority of my life he has worked overseas. He sacrifices his life over here with us to give his family the best he can. He is my hero. If I could be half as selfless as him when it comes to what I do for my family then is say I'm doing something right. I hate that he has to miss out on so much. I hate that he wasnt able to be there for the birth of my son. And I hate that he is missing my sons first few months of life. I guess that is the sacrifice you make to ensure your family is taken care of. If I could have anything in the world it would be to have him here instead of there and be able to provide here the way he does there.

Well guys that's a few of the things I miss. Is your list similar? What are you missing lately?

  1. I definitely miss the simplicity of life. The internet and cell phones makes a lot of people not enjoy the present moment. It's as if they want to be anywhere but where they actually are.

    I miss my friends.

I try not to miss to many things. I try to just accept the moment and enjoy it as much as I can and cherish it because I never know when it could end for me.
