Go-To Meal

I wish I could say that I cook all of the time but I would be lying. Ha! When I was pregnant Shane had to go do some repairs on a house that they had just sold. While he was doing repairs the woman who owned the home was making dinner for their family. He came back salivating telling me that she cooked some "casserole pizza thing" and that I needed to learn how to do it. I took to Pinterest and found two recipes that sounded similar to what he explained. One was really simple and me sounded kind of complicated. Obviously I picked the easy one to try. We tried it for dinner a few days later and it was SO good. It is a reoccurring favorite in our house. We love love it!

Pizza Casserole:

2 1/2 lbs of ground beef
Egg noodles
Spaghetti sauce (I use Ragu)
Shredded mozzarella
Pepporonis

*Preheat oven at 350degrees

1) Brown ground beef
2) Spread half of spaghetti sauce in bottom of dish
3) Layer half of the meat, then all of the noodles, the rest of the meat, the the rest of the sauce
4) Cover with mozzarella cheese
5) Top with pepperonis

Put in oven and heat until cheese is melted.

And then voila! Ready to eat! I get Texas toast normally to serve with it. This is super easy and fast to make. I've also read that sausage is a better substitute for the ground beef. I haven't tried it yet but it sounds amazing!

What is your go-to meal for your family?
